The early characterization of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement as a group of rudderless kids with no real chance of success was fantastically misplaced. The 99 percent continues to occupy more cities, more headlines and more of our collective imagination.

The biggest obstacle the Occupy Movement is up against is not the 1%.
What I found especially striking about the OccupyOakland strike: extreme message discipline in which people spoke about the same issue, not out of a pre-designed plan but because their shared experiences were remarkably similar.

Here are photos of the #Occupy DC movement at K Street and 15th, just a couple of blocks from the White House.  These were taken around 5:30 p.m., except for the night time shots which were taken around 10:30 p.m. There are a few shots of the Occupy Movement at Freedom Plaza right across from the District of Columbia office building and Federal Triangle.

Equal Exchange of W.
