ACE Congratulates Leslie Mead on Hall of Fame Induction

 

Minneapolis, September 29, 2023 - The Association of Cooperative Educators (ACE) is proud to extend heartfelt congratulations to Leslie Mead on her induction into the Cooperative Hall of Fame. This prestigious honor recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the cooperative movement, and Leslie’s remarkable career in cooperative philanthropy, education, and advocacy exemplifies the highest ideals of our cooperative community.

Early in her career, Leslie recognized that cooperative education is the lifeblood of the cooperative movement. Her tenure at the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC) and later as the Executive Administrator for ACE witnessed her tireless efforts to expand and support cooperative education professionals. Her visionary leadership also gave birth to the Ralph K. Morris Foundation's Leadership Scholarship program, empowering future cooperative leaders. Her contributions to cooperative education in the United States have left an indelible mark.

Leslie Mead's commitment to promoting cooperatives through policy, education, and philanthropy has been nothing short of inspirational. From her roots in Indiana to her influential roles at NCFC, ACE, and the Cooperative Development Foundation, Leslie's journey has been marked by her dedication to inclusive cooperation and her ability to empower organizations and individuals to think beyond their immediate circles.

In recognition of her pioneering spirit, ACE and the entire cooperative community salute Leslie Mead for her outstanding contributions to our shared mission. Leslie’s legacy will continue to inspire generations of cooperators to think broadly and deliver purposefully for all members of society.
