What is The Workers Lab?
The Workers Lab is an accelerator that invests in entrepreneurs, community organizers, technologists, economic justice organizations, issue campaigns, and businesses to create scalable and self­-sustaining solutions that improve conditions for low­-wage workers. The Workers Lab is headed by Carmen Rojas and funded by the SEIU.

What is the focus of the program?
To incubate individuals, non-profit, and for-profit ideas that empower low-wage workers in the US.

Why the focus on low-wage workers in the US?
By 2020, low-wage workers will represent 48% of our workforce. These workers represent the future of our country and our economy. We are clear that developing tools, strategies, and platforms that allow us to significantly improve conditions for low-wage workers will be a catalyst to increasing economic activity and rebuilding our middle-class.
