Richard Gephardt's Labor Friendly

In the last year, I came upon a book in a university library, An Even Better Place, by Richard Gephardt.  In it, he develops a look at stakeholder capitalism.  While he is certainly no Ralph Nader or Michael Moore, or even Kent Conrad, he has shown some insight into the issue.  A  fairly corporate commentary appeared in the NYT:

The comments there are interesting and reflect some thoughtful awareness, particularly of Gephardt's superficial, demagogic use of labor-friendly ideas and his alignment with centralized federal power.
