Catalyzing worker co-ops & the solidarity economy

A Night of Solidarity for a New Economy 2/23

We resist by taking ownership of our economy, taking ownership of our future, and building power in our communities.

#WeAreTheWarmth is a night of solidarity with the visionaries building a new economy in New York City.

We'll come together to celebrate our work to build a new economy; look with hope to the just, sustainable future we're working toward; and, together, create the warmth that can resist the cold and push back the night.
Come out to connect with new economy builders, raise funds to support new economy work, share stories, party, and get warm.

Tickets are $20-$150 sliding scale.

#WeAreTheWarmth will feature:

  • Stories of resistance and resilience from new economy builders Brendan Martin of the Working World and Lauren Hudson
  • A delicious Bangladeshi dinner from local, worker-owned restaurant Émigré Gourmet
  • Raffle prizes including chocolate from Equal Exchange, pickles from Real Pickles, and merch from Because Capitalism
  • An all-vinyl DJ set by Brazilian DJ, artist, and vocalist Zuzuka Poderosa

Ticket proceeds benefit NEC and the Cooperative Economics Alliance of New York City and are tax deductible to the extent provided bu the Internal Revenue Code.  Dinner included in ticket price. Cash Bar. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
