The Teamsters’ Strategic Research & Campaigns Department conducts research on a broad range of industries & companies and develops research products and analyses to inform the union’s growth, organizing, and strategic campaign goals. Strategic research is a crucial component of both the campaigns implemented by the department, and the organizing goals of the union.
Description
We are looking for a research analyst to conduct industry and corporate research to inform strategy in organizing and contract campaigns. Research analysts develop expertise in industries of interest and apply the department’s research and campaigns model to understanding major corporations and Teamsters employers. Research includes financial performance, business strategy, collective bargaining history, and competitive environment.The research analyst works closely with campaign staff in the department and provides research support for ongoing campaigns. The research analyst also writes reports and prepares presentations of their analyses and recommendations, and collaborates as assigned with staff in the Organizing Department and Local Union officers. Travel may be required to complete certain projects.
